Sephora Spring Savings Event Shopping Guide
Last year, I invited my sister and beauty guru Debbie to share what she was buying at the fall Sephora Savings Event. Debbie is back again to share what she is planning to shop from the Sephora Spring Savings Event. As always, I encourage you to share your purchases to assist other members of the Wardrobe Oxygen Community with their shopping!

When is the Sephora Spring Savings Event?
As with most Sephora sales, the Spring Savings Event is a tiered sale where the status you have with Sephora's free Beauty Insider program determines when you are able to shop and how much of a discount you will receive.
The Sephora Spring Savings Event begins Friday, April 4, 202, in-store and online, for those who are Rouge status with the Beauty Insider program. Rouge status members get 20% off their purchases. Also, on April 4th, all Sephora Collection products become 30% off, regardless of status.
On Tuesday, April 8, the sale opens to those in VIB and Insider status. VIB status members receive 15% off their Sephora purchases and Insider status members will receive 10% off their purchase. The Sephora Spring Savings Event ends April 14 for all levels of Beauty Insider members.
What makes this sale so special?
It may seem as though Sephora has one of these deals every month, but in fact, a discount of up to 20% only happens twice a year. And with tariffs coming our way, this may be the cheapest price you'll get all year.
Sephora is known for makeup, but the company also carries a wide range of skincare, haircare, body care, and wellness products. We're talking sunscreen, vibrators, silk pillowcases, supplements, deodorant, showerheads, and items that are HSA and FSA available. Even if you usually miss this Sephora sale, in 2025, it may be worth a quick look.
With all of this in mind, I'm passing the baton to Debbie to share her thoughts on the Sephora Spring Savings Event and what she plans to purchase! Thank you, Debbie, for sharing your Sephora shopping list!
Sephora Spring Savings Event Shopping Guide
I donโt know about you, but I have not been in a big spending mood this year. I have been โrediscoveringโ a lot of makeup I already own, either pulling out items I havenโt used in a while or trying new combinations. Iโve started putting the date I first use a product on all my skincare and hair products to see how long it takes to really use something up.
However, since I do my big shops during these Sephora sales, I tend to run out of stuff just in time for the next one. So whatโs currently in my cart is a mix of repurchases and trying something new because another something either just ran out or is about to, and any specific holes in my makeup collection. If Iโm buying anything right now, Iโm doing so with purpose.
Beauty Prep
I am definitely going to get another First Aid Beauty Hello FAB Coconut Skin Smoothie Priming Moisturizer. This stuff is the GOAT, itโs a little shimmery, but not really, so I can wear it on its own, but it also helps every foundation and skin tint I own sit nicely on my skin. Because my skin leans dry, I only wear a primer-y primer when itโs going to be hot and humid, otherwise itโs too much.
I have the Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer, and since I wear it so seldom, I still have PLENTY. Whenever it runs out, I want to try the Hourglass Vanish Airbrush Primer, and the fact that the mini is in a tube makes it extra appealing. The pump on the veil means itโs harder to get out the last bits from the bottle.
My obsession with Glossier Balm Dot Com continues and the Original that sits on my bedside table is just about gone, so Iโll be picking up another of that. I also have it in Coconut (purse and living room) and Mint (desk), but those are all pretty full so Iโll wait on backups. Think Iโll also get one in Wild Fig, because that looks like a good summery color and all of my lip glosses and balms are more neutrals.
Blush
I want a cool pink blush, and Iโm deciding between Danessa Myricks Beauty Yummy Skin Blurring Balm Powder Flushed in IT Girl and Pat McGrath Labs Mini Skin Fetish: Divine Powder Blush in Divine Rose.
The Danessa Myricks Beauty Yummy Skin Blurring Balm Powder Flushed in Rosรฉ N Brunch continues to be a favorite and it lasts forever even on humid summer days, but Iโm also obsessed with Pat McGrath Labs Skin Fetish: Divine Powder Blush in Fleurtatious and Nude Venus. All of which I am nowhere near panning, so that the Pat McGrath comes in a mini is appealing.
Iโm also tempted by the Danessa Myricks in Red Velvet. Iโve liked red blush for years and feel very justified now that itโs so trendy. But I have a red powder blush, so itโs not exactly a hole in my collection. I usually make two purchases, so maybe by the time I make the second, Iโll have decided if itโs in or out.
Lipcolor
I have a bunch of lipsticks in my wish list:
- I love dark hot pink lipstick in the summer and am thinking heavily about the Sephora Collection Cream Lip Stain in 125 Rose Flambe. I think I love the new formula even more than the old one; I wore it in 01 Always Red constantly over the holidays. Donโt let the name fool you, this is a very typical liquid lipstick, but I donโt find it uncomfortably drying if my lips arenโt dehydrated to start with. It will stay on through a meal, though is not transfer-proof.
- I still love the Sephora Collection Outrageous Plump Hydrating Lip Gloss in XXL Nude and am thinking about getting the Sephora Collection Glossed Hydrating Long Wear Lip Gloss in 15 Brave.
- I also like the look of the Sephora Collection About That Shine Sheer Shine Lipsticks, and am considering 03 Desert Glow and 05 Mystical Blush.
- I also saw a comment online that the Westman Atelier Lip Suede Hydrating Matte Lipstick is really good, so I might get that in Petal.
- Is this finally the time that the Givenchy Le Rouge Sheer Velvet Matte Lipstick in 17 Rouge Erable makes it into my shopping cart? I have it in another shade and love the lightweight matte formula.
- I also want to give a shoutout to the Hourglass Phantom Volumizing Glossy Lip Balm in Rise 100. I repurchased this over the winter, and itโs just as good as it was the first time. It doesnโt last any longer than any other lip balm, but it has a nice minty finish and is easy to apply without a mirror. Just like the Brave shade of the Sephora Collection Long Wear Lip Gloss, itโs a cool neutral that works effortlessly with all of my other makeup.
Powder
Danessa Myricks came out with cool tones of the Yummy Skin Blurring Balm Powder and I really liked this last summer and wished I had one of the actual colors to use instead of a skin tint, so I might pull the trigger for that now. But itโs on my wish list, not my cart.
Sunscreen
The Ultra Violette Vibrant Screen SPF 50 is new to Sephora, and Iโm very intrigued โ I like that itโs sweat-safe and water-resistant. I do still like the Fenty Hydra Vizor, but itโs not any sort of water-resistant. If the Ultra Violette is just as moisturizing, then it could be my new favorite sunscreen.
Skincare
For skincare, Iโm repurchasing the First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads, 90 count. Love that they now have this bigger size. I still have plenty of the Dieux Instant Angel Lipid & Peptide-Rich Moisturizer, and I also bought the Dieux Air Angel Collagen & Peptide Hydrating Gel Cream recently. Using both of these โ Air Angel first, then Instant Angel โ has been really nice with the up-and-down Spring weather weโve been having.
Iโm close to finishing the Caudalie Vinoperfect Brightening Dark Spot Serum and while I know from personal experience that this is one of those products that I donโt realize is amazing until after I stop using it, I still want to try something new.
And because of my love of all things Dieux, Iโm going to get the Deliverance Antioxidant & Niacinamide Serum. Iโm also going to try the Dieux Auracle Peptide & Antioxidant Eye Gel.
Face Cleanser
My Dieux Baptism Gentle Foaming Facial Gel Cleanser is still going strong, but I have the Laneige Water Bank Gentle Gel Cleanser on my wish list for when it finally runs out.
I still alternate with the Tata Harper Regenerating BHA Exfoliating Cleanser and itโs amazing how much the Tata Harper perks up my skin. After not having used it for about a week, I used it the night before writing this, and my skin caught ALL the morning light. I usually decant skincare for travel (and the smaller size is small enough for travel as is), but I love their mini travel set because it also includes the mask, which I only really use after a long flight.
Haircare
Rounding out my wish list is the Gisou Honey Gloss Ceramide Therapy Hydrating Hair Mask. But do I remember to use a hair mask enough to make buying one worthwhile? Will have to think on that.
Additional Recommendations
That sums up everything I am going to buy or am thinking of buying in this sale. But of course, I have more recommendations for you!
One of my favorite makeup tricks is to put a bright coral shade on top of whatever other blush instead of an actual highlighter. Especially when I didnโt sleep well the night before, this just makes me feel alive.
Blush
Iโve been using Dior Rosy Glow Blush in 004 Coral for a few years, but I recently bought NARS Talc-Free Powder Blush in Sex Appeal, which is a shade that Alison used to wear (and maybe still does?). I always thought it would be too light for my blush-obsessed self, but I wanted something light for winter. And this is so pretty! I think the Dior works a little better as a blush layer, but the NARS is better on its own. Theyโre both so pretty, though, and I do use both.
Mascara
I'm still loving theย Sephora Collection Love The Lift Curling + Volumizing Mascara. And not at Sephora, but I got theย Estee Lauder Turbo Lash mascaraย in a gift-with-purchase set, and Iโm sorry to say that itโs amazing. I'm sorry because itโs $35, which is more than even Diorshow, which used to be my splurge mascara.
Lip Liner
Make Up For Ever Artist Color Pencils are still my go-to lip liners. I have Wherever Walnut, and Endless Caffeine and one of these + a lip gloss is my everyday look. I also like that theyโre designed to be used anywhere on your face, so I can easily use one as a blush to refresh my makeup at the end of the day.
Haircare
During the last sale, I picked up the Color Wow Dream Cocktail Carb-Infused Thickening Leave In Treatment and I really like it! It really does thicken my hair, which I need in the winter when there isnโt the humidity to make it puffy. In the summer, I use Dream Coat.
I think thatโs everything for this sale! As always, check out my previous sale posts for even more recommendations, and ask any questions about specific products in the comments. And let me know what youโre planning to buy or if thereโs anything you think I might like!
I love that new Benefit wax! I can finally get my brows on without making a mess. I use alone when I want a very natural look. I combine with pencil when I do a full face.
Grande Brow has a new 2in1 product that is a tinted brow gel with grandebrow serum inside. This has been a game changer for me because my #1 issue with brow serum is forgetting to use it, but I will put on tinted brow gel every day. It has made a major difference in my brows in just a few weeks. I don’t even have to extend the tail of my brow with a pencil anymore.
I don’t need much now but will pick up a new Laura Mercier Caviar Stick in Rush. Mine just ran out and I’ve gone through 2 already. Maybe an Urban Decay Moondust in Solstice as I’m about to hit pan on that too.
I love the Charlotte Tillbury Pillow Talk mascara. I have pretty long lashes, so I usually curl and add 1 coat to define them a bit. Also, oily eyelids demand a primer (unless I’m using a stick shadow). I’ve always used Urban Decay’s, but if anyone can recommend something another brand they love, I’d try it.
I trust your tubing mascara reviews. Iโm a long time fan of Trish McEvoys High Volume mascara but Iโm always looking for one with a little more โoomph.โ Curious to see what you think of the Cali Ray one. I know there have been great reviews and I bought it with high hopes. Letโs just say Iโm still on the hunt for a great tubing mascara.
Hourglass has a great one! I think i has more oomph and volume compared to the Trish McAvoy one or blincโs. To me, itโs the tubing mascara most like regular mascara but without the raccoon eyes.
I have been recommended a beauty blender so many times and I’m secretly not sure how to use them. I’ve used a fluffy brush from MAC for my (liquid) foundation for a long time now but I wonder if I should experiment with switching…
The way I use mine is I wet it, and then squeeze out as much moisture as possible. I even squeeze it into a washcloth to capture more. Then I dot on foundation or concealer and use the Beauty Blender to pat it into place. SOme also use Beauty Blenders to apply powders. If the brush works for you, then do it. If it’s not broke you don’t need to spend more at Sephora!
There is a very detailed video on Sephora of how to use it – not just for foundation, but a ton of things! Follow Alison’s link.
As long as weโre talking makeupโฆ.as an older (ahem) woman, my eyebrows are disappearing! And the hairs that are left are coarse, unruly, and frequently grey. (Gasp) Please, do you have any recommendations for this?
I really like this product, it’s like a liquid liner but it’s thin like watercolor and I flick around in my brows to fill bare spots and it looks natural even though I have zero skill. And it’s NYX so it’s cheap. It’s the Snatch Eyebrow Tint: https://amzn.to/36VlD0X
A lot of folks prefer this product from NYX which has been called Toppik for brows as it’s a powder that can fill in spots: https://amzn.to/3x3xFzW
And then a colored brow mascara will tame the unruly hairs and tint them a different color. Stick It from NYX is a thickening brow mascara and I think it’s a better tamer than products 5X the price: https://amzn.to/3KbXyBg
I learned from a brow expert to use taupe when you’re going gray, even if you dye your hair. Taupe brows will more more natural than brunette with your skintone. If taupe isn’t available choose an ash brown or gray-brown.
Wow! Thank you!
P, I donโt know if youโll see this, but I had the same problem. I started using Revitabrow and it has worked miracles. I now have thick gorgeous eyebrows again. I also started dying my eyebrows myself. The day after I do it, it looks a bit like Dan Levy, but then it looks great. I use Refectocil dye after seeing Angie from You Look Fab recommend it.
I bought the Revitabrow from the Nordstrom annual sale and plan to buy it again this year.
Catch the Nordstrom semi-annual sale for NeuBrow! https://bit.ly/3MIRRPm
I use the Neubrow, too (got it at nordโs semi-annual sale a few years again and just bought more). It really works.
The only natural deodorant that works for me is from a local place here in Baltimore, Mt Royal Soaps. I have no affiliation other than being a happy customer of their shampoo bars, miracle salve/balm, and deodorant. https://www.mountroyalsoaps.com/
Off topic but: Have you tried Zuri dresses? Also not affiliated but fell prey to all the ads I kept seeing as an early birthday self-gift. I got a solid color, sort of a persimmon. The dress came in a tote made of fabric scraps from other dress patterns. It is maybe a little longer than I’d like (I’m 5’2″ ish) but I worried the short would be too short. I think it’ll be good for the hot/humid summer since it is airy but I can wear fall/spring with tights/cardigan/jacket/boots.
Thanks for the recommendation! And I haven’t tried Zuri because I LOVE the prints but the silhouette is just not my style. I don’t feel comfortable in a dress of that length, cut, and fabric with my bust and legs. I appreciate the brand so much, but am waiting to see if they carry anything in the future more me.
I too love the prints from Zuri but am also short and busty so worry the look will be sofa cushion rather than artsy insouciance. Also my mind keeps whispering “cultural appropriation?” at me. Still thinking on it.
Thanks for the review – this made me realize my “beautyblender” is actually a cheap dupe. Going to try the real thing!
The OG beauty blender is worth it. I’ve tried so many cheaper versions & they end up gross & cracking / chipping away bits of sponge within a month while the OG is still perfectly fine. One of those times when it’s worthwhile to pay more!
I’m trying the caliray tubing mascara right now too and am liking it a lot so far! I used to use the Clinique tubing one and while I loved the look, I practically had to yank my lashes out at night to remove it. This one gives great volume, absolutely no flaking or smudging, and is pretty easy to remove with warm water and gentle pressure. I’m eager to read your updated mascara review!
That’s great feedback, thank you Jamie!
