Tuesday I had meetings in the city. There would be walking, possibly some photos, I wanted to look casual yet polished. My go-to for such situations is jeans, a blazer, and an interesting pair of shoes. These are all wardrobe classics for me and have been for years. The silhouettes may change slightly as new…

Dress: London Times via Gwynnie Bee (similar, similar) | Bag: Hobo (similar) | Earrings: Argento Vivo (similar) | Bracelet: Gorjana | Shoes: Nine West This is one of those dresses that works almost year round. While I wore it on a steamy workday, I could imagine it come fall or winter with opaque tights, and…
When you match the decor, you just HAVE to take some photos! Karl and I checked out Burton’s Grill & Bar, a restaurant chain along the Eastern Seaboard. With locations from Massachusetts to North Carolina, this is the first one in Maryland. Not only does it have beautiful decor that beautifully matched with my navy…

Gwynnie Bee is such a wardrobe lifesaver especially this time of year. While it’s a great program to rent dresses and separates for work and weekend, I find the service especially great when I have a calendar full of social occasions. Weddings, cocktail parties, holiday happy hours, and more… it can get expensive. This dress…
That dress is beautiful, flattering, and you just glow in it! I love those dramatic colors as well as the dramatic hi-low style.
Thank you!
You look amazing!! This dress is so beautiful…are you going to part with it?!?
I am. It’s utterly gorgeous but I know it’s not one I’d wear so many times I can just justify the cost.
I think what I like most about this dress is that you seem to be really enjoying it! It’s really very cute on you.
Thank you so much!
Such a pretty outfit! I’m wearing my first high/low dress to a wedding in August and a bit nervous that it’s a bit young for 57YO me. But I really like the way it looks on me, which is rare with dresses recently! It is the “Pleione ruffled high/low shift dress” in red saucy, which I got at the anniversary sale. Got it in black, too, and tempted to keep both.
That is a really lovely dress!
I use that disk to keep my bra straps from showing!!! I always have to have my husband put it on for me though…..do you have a way to do it yourself??
XOXO

Good question. I have a hard time with these, too….
Either Karl does it, or I put on my bra backwards, get the straps through the disc, slide it around and shimmy into place. Option 1 is far preferred! 🙂
What a stunning dress! I think the top is very flattering, and I love how you styled it. I’ll say it again — Gwynnnie Bee — come to Canada!
That would be great if they did!
